In Cape Tribulation there is simply no better way than
an eco-friendly sea kayaking tour to explore the beaches, reefs and
rainforests along the Daintree Coast.
Paddling along the coast in your sea kayak you will enjoy spectacular
views and see how the two World Heritage Areas of the Daintree National
Park and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park meet eachother.

In north Queensland the sun sets behind the mountains and is best
seen from the ocean
There are two sea kayak tour operators in Cape Tribulation;
Cape Trib Paddletrek and Cape Tribulation Seakayaking, and Backcountry
Bliss does tours to Snapper Island from Cape Kimberley with transfers
from Port Douglas.

Cape Tribulation Beach, the departure point of the Cape Trib Paddletrek
Cape Trib Paddletrek sea kayaking
tours depart every morning around 08:00 and again around 16:00 in
the afternoon from Cape Tribulation Beach.
The morning tour gives you more time to explore, while the afternoon
tour provides spectacular sunset views not seen by those on land,
as the sun in north Queensland sets over the mountains, not over the
ocean.
Cape Tribulation Paddletrek has been running sea kayaking
tours in Cape Tribulation for over 20 years and is owned and operated
by Pete, who will provide you with expert instructions on how to paddle
your kayak, and during the tour you he will share his indepth knowledge
of local history and wildlife. As a long term resident and experienced
scuba diving instructor who has spent years living and working in
Cape Tribulation he knows the ocean like the back of his hand.
Animals encountered on these sea kayaking tours include
sea turtles, sea eagles, sting rays, sometimes dolphins, dugongs,
whales passing by on their north south migration path, and even the
occasional cassowary on the beach!
There are several lengths of sea kayaking tours to choose
from, and all the kayaking tours include free transfers from and to
your accommodation, refreshments, instructions, and all equipment.
Sea kayaking in Cape Tribulation is absolutely the most
low impact eco-friendly way to see the coastline of the Daintree National
Park, and Cape Trib Paddletrek is proud to have been awarded eco-certification
from Eco Tourism Australia.
Never been sea kayaking before ? No worries mate!
Seakayaking is easy, and Pete will show you how.
Cost for the sea kayaking tours are $79.- for the morning
trek, and $69.- for the sunset trek.
